Walking With Her (Theme: At the Beach) by Jo Dingle

Salt bleached, barnacled belt
her sun streamed marram grass hair
she’s dog happy in the shifting dunes
when the skylark takes her prayer

The sun sinking on razor clam stilts
an audience of clouds across her bay
she’s casting her high tide flotsam runes
from the wilderness of her play

She’s filling her estuary, a full slow tide
sliding the weight of her stealth
into her yielding banks that drink
the salt basking flood of herself
